Fox Chase Demonstration Trail Groundbreaking

The groundbreaking was held on the Manor College corner of Fox Chase Road and Forrest Avenue. Those attending included Michael O'Conner, commissioner for Ward 3, and P. J. Cunnane of the Citizens' Trails Advisory Committee, as well as Commissioners John Carlin, Mike Gillespie, Stan Gross, Jim Ring and Peggy Myers. Sister Cecelia, President of Manor College and Sister Carla, Principal of St. Basil's Academy were also in attendance. State Representative Ellen Bard and Nan Hornikel, a representative of Earthright, presented checks to the township.
